Zug, May 2026. retailsolutions, one of Europe’s leading SAP retail consultancies and one of the world’s largest SAP implementation partners for the retail and fashion sectors, is opening a subsidiary in Colombo, the capital of Sri Lanka, in May.
Under the leadership of Shazni Marwan, who hails from the South Asian country and has been living in Germany for five years, the site will initially employ 50 staff in the areas of development and consultancy. In future, the team is set to expand to around 100 employees.
“In addition to our subsidiary in South Africa, we wanted to establish a new offshore location to support our projects in Europe – particularly in the UK and Northern Europe. Our future colleagues from Sri Lanka are highly experienced and have an average of 10 years’ SAP retail expertise – gained primarily through projects in Dubai, India and the USA. Furthermore, Colombo is home to a good university that focuses on STEM subjects. We therefore hope to be able to attract young skilled workers to our company in the future as well,” says Jörg Frisch, founder and managing director.
At the Colombo site, retailsolutions’s proprietary solutions are also to be further developed, application management support expanded, and development support provided for projects in Europe and the US. In the long term, there is also the possibility of managing client projects in Asia or the Dubai region from the Sri Lanka subsidiary.
